Lionel Richie prepare duets album to join Rascal Flatts and Jason Aldean

Legendary Lionel Richie prepare his upcoming country duets album in September to join his latest artists Rascal Flatts and Jason Aldean.

The Flatts alongside Lionel Richie were in the studio in this week on his 1985 hit, 'Dancing on the Ceiling.'

The trio's Joe Don Rooney tweeted about their session last night, and called Lionel "one groovy freakin' cat," and said their recording was "magic."

Jason Aldean with R & B star on his 1986 hit teamed up at No. 1, Say You, Say Me, 'a couple of weeks ago, and Georgia could not be more than happy local.

Jason tells The Boot, "I was a fan of his for a long time, and got the call that he was doing that duets record and jumped at the chance. It was cool. I mean Lionel Richie has written some of the best songs of this generation, period. To be able to go in and work with him ... I mean, talk about a guy who was on 'We Are the World?' It's pretty insane!"
