According to Heat, Tina Turner, Leona Lewis, 50 Cent and Rihanna are just some of the celebrity guests expected to turn up. And he's expecting them to sing.

A source told the magazine: "All of the biggest names in music are getting an invite. Lionel is asking some to sing. He wants the reception to be a big concert."

Nicole has two children with Good Charlotte rocker boyfriend Joel and Lionel has nothing but good wishes for all of them.

He recently told People: "My happiness for Nicole and Joel knows no boundaries. They have given me two beautiful grandchildren, Harlow and Sparrow, and have proven to be great parents.

Wife of Good the 28 years old Charlotte star Joel Madden and daughter of Lionel Richie, was driving along the busy Los Angeles street on Monday at 2pm when Edwardo Arrivebene ploughed into the back of her Land Rover.
Chared has been Arrivebene with driving without a license.
Richie told police she was hurt in the accident but instead of calling for an ambulance sought her own treatment. She went near by hospital after soon.
The Land Rover received what has been described as moderate damage.

Celebrities such as Natalie Cole, Stevie Wonder, Akon, Katharine McPhee and comedian Cedric the Entertainer attended the 31st annual An Evening of Stars event, held at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium.
“(Richie) is a national treasure and we’re proud to claim him, not only as a graduate of our storied member school, Tuskegee University, but as an artist of international renown and longtime supporter of UNCF and the work we do to make sure that every child in America gets an education that starts in preschool and doesn’t end until college graduation,” said UNCF’s CEO Michael L. Lomax.
“It is such an honor to receive this award from UNCF,” said Lionel Richie. “I am a product of a Historically Black College and University (HBCU) and that experience has had a tremendous influence on my life. I understand the importance of a college education and the impact it can have on our children and our nation. Skip Miller, a Los Angeles music industry veteran who rose from stock clerk to president of Motown Records and helped rejuvenate the black music division at RCA Records, has died. He was 62.
Mr. Miller, who also managed Lionel Richie's solo career, was being treated for an enteral infection when he died of a heart attack Sept. 4 at a Los Angeles hospital, his family announced.
He was a Vietnam stager with a degree in chemistry when he joined Motown Records in 1971 and was quickly promoted to various management positions in sales, marketing and artist relations.
Elevated from vice president to president in 1987, he oversaw the company during a major reorganization in which it tried to regain a leadership role in black music. But company founder Berry Gordy sold the label less than a year later.
In 1988, Mr. Miller joined RCA in the newly created position of senior vice president of black, jazz and progressive music.
Among the acts he signed were the R&B-pop trio Sisters With Voices, popularly known as SWV. When the trio complete a difficult feat placing two singles, "I'm So Into You" and "Weak," in the Top 10 at the same time in 1993 Mr. Miller said he was not surprised by their success.
"We were thinking the next big trend would be hip hop with singing," Mr. Miller told the Los Angeles Times in 1993.
He also wrote the foreword to a 1992 three CD set, "The RCA Records Label: The 1st Note in Black Music." The comprehensive package was RCA's first to recognize its black music artists "from the early gospel and blues eras" to "R&B and rap," Mr. Miller told Billboard magazine in 1992.
He was born Alvin Miller in 1946 in New York City. After graduating from Hofstra University, Mr. Miller joined the Army in 1968 and served in Vietnam. After the war, he had connections at Motown and started his career there.

Lionel Richie banned to perform for the Hamptons

Lionel Richie has been prohibited from playing in New York's Hamptons after locals objected about the noise.
Party promoter Scott Feldman intended to charge guests $1,250 each to watch Richie sing in the backyard of his rented home in the Long Island town of Sag Harbor on Friday night, reports the New York Post's gossip column Page Six.
But the newspaper claims requests for a permit were refused after wealthy residents of the town - where legendary piano man also has a home - stepped in.

In 2002, Richie's song "Running with the Night" was attributed on the Rockstar North video game Grand Theft Auto: Vice City though the song was deleted from afterward versions of the game. In 2004, he came into view on Canadian Idol as his songs were featured during a Canadian Idol week.

In November 2005, Lionel Richie played with Kenny Rogers on a CMT Crossroads special. The show provided an informative insight into their friendship both in and out of the music world. Richie was also the headliner at a 2000 Fourth of July tribute concert with Fantasia Barrino at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Richie released his eighth studio album entitled " Coming Home" on September 12, 2006. The first single of the album was "I Call It Love" and was premiered in July 2006, becoming his largest remarkable hit in the U.S. in ten years. The album was an unbelievable success for Richie in the United States, peaking at #6. His adopted daughter Nicole Richie stars in the music video for this track.

On December 9, 2006, Richie hosted and played live on the British television show An Audience with Lionel Richie.

On February 11, 2007, Richie presented his 80s hit song "Hello" on the televised Grammy Awards show.

Recently, he has announced that he would like to get The Commodores back together soon, "or in the next 10 years no one will care."

Richie helped to increase over $3.1 million for The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. He was the quality performer at the Foundation's Soirée Bouquet, the annual spring gala.

Richie said to the crowd that his grandmother was diagnosed with breast cancer in her 80s, but survived and lived until she was 104 years old. He stated that she was his bearing symbol of hope and his reason for becoming a breast cancer activist.

Lionel Brockman Richie, Jr was born on June 20, 1949 in Tuskegee, Alabama. Lionel Richie is an American R&B singer, songwriter, composer, and occasional actor who got his start as the front man for the Commodores, a nationally popular Motown band during the 70’s. They had several hits such as Easy, Three Times a Lady, and probably the Commodores’ most famous hit, Brick House.

Richie left the band in ‘81 for a solo career. He launched his self-titled debut in 1982. The album hit No. 3 on the charts and sold over 4 million copies. His follow up album, Can’t Slow Down, sold over twice as many copies and won the Grammy for Album of the Year in ‘84. His third album, ‘86’s Dancing on the Ceiling generated such hits as Say You, Say Me, Dancing on the Ceiling, and Se La, but would be the end of his commercial success.

His 90’s albums such as Back to Front, Louder Than Words, and Time all are unsucceeded to achieve the previous decade’s commercial achievement. Some of his latest work, such as the album Renaissance, has returned to his older style, hoping to achieve more sensation.
